The Palestinian Authority’s objections to the latest report issued by the Quartet—the foursome comprising the UN, EU, United States and Russia that tries to mediate peace talks—should serve as a wake-up call for the international community about the petulance of Palestinian diplomacy and the strong undercurrent of rejectionism that grounds it.

Last Thursday, after a Palestinian terrorist infiltrated Kiryat Arba and murdered 13-year-old Hallel Yaffa Ariel in her home, Shuki Gilboa and others in the community's security team rushed to the scene and confronted the knife-wielding terrorist. The terrorist was shot and killed, but Gilboa was seriously wounded during the confrontation and lost his right eye.
